What will your typical week consist of?

Schedule all order pick-up and deliveries related to LTL freight and small parcel packages (i.e. FedEx/UPS).
Adhere to all client shipping guidelines and standards including routing and packaging instructions.
Coordinate with other functional areas and logistics team members to implement best practices, with the end goal of driving improved continuous material flow.
Perform paperwork validation on all incoming shipments to ensure PO, job, and item detail is accurate and complete.
Enter packing list paperwork information into Ops Manager.
Engage build team and engineers in Quality Control review on all incoming shipments.
Demonstrate strong working relationships with internal and external customers, including coworkers, management, carriers, supply chain, and vendors.
Deliver timely communications on exceptions or unforeseen changes in shipping, as well as shipment status, tracking information, insurance, and claim detail, etc.
Represent a critical on-site presence to internal customers and maintains a proper professional approach in all types of interactions.

Ensure purchasing, receiving, and accounting related documentation is routed correctly and filed accurately and neatly. 

Process problem invoices through the enlighten platform.
Initiate PRS process for all JR returns, including logging and tracking root cause reason codes.
Track and manage fleet car sign-out at each respective BU location.

What to know coming in:

3-5 years in a business environment; logistics, materials management, or supply chain experience preferred.
Proficient in MS Office, strong organizational and time management skills. 
Work independently with minimal supervision. 
Exceptional work ethic and motivation to serve the customer, both internal and external.
Must be able to lift 50lbs on a daily basis and must be capable of operating a hi-lo.
Proven ability to ensure documentation is routed correctly and filed accurately.
History of assisting with organizing and maintain the shipping/receiving areas and monitoring stock inventory.
Must be able to operate overhead crane and hi-lo equipment as well as potentially lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
Must be able to effectively load and unload all types of machinery and equipment from all types of trucks and trailers used by JR, customers, and suppliers.
